Klinisk Sygepleje - 18 . årgang - NR. 1 - 2004
The article describes the background to the new educations as a bachelor focusing especially on the recent departmental order of the education as a nurse. Central educational changes compared with the education of 1990 are outlined calling attention to the fact that the contents of the education have become more scholastic. The article throws light on the possible consequences of these changes for the students’ practical knowledge in the clinic by involving both an empirical study from 1995 of students’ learning in the practical practice and Bourdieu’s theory of practice. The demands in the clinic made on the students have been transformed from demands for workmanship to demands for sholarship. Depending on their predispositions and culturel capital beforehand some students may have more difficulties to adjust themselves to the requirements in the education.
